Abstract

Previously, drones have relied on special markers like H patterns, QR codes, or AprilTags for visual guidance and positioning. While effective for quick positioning, larger marker areas were frequently required at higher altitudes to ensure precise positioning. However, carrying these large markers, especially in emergencies like mountain rescue operations, was impractical for victims. To address this, this study suggests using a flashing light as an alternative solution. Flashing light guidance allows drones to assist rescue personnel in locating and descending near victims to provide clearer environmental information, and land to offer essential supplies when needed. This approach is more convenient than conventional markers and demonstrates practicality during emergencies.
